As a frequent traveler, booking a hotel is always a major factor in complete my trip fulfilled. I'm not talking about 5 stars or extravagant hotel, I'm referring to what can the hotel offered me in terms of its convenience, amenities, comfort, safeness, cleanliness and other attributes that gives me the pleasure to stay over and over again.
Lucky for now as there are plenty of reviews and comments, maps, hotel booking website to ascertain the location of hotel.
Here are a few major factors :
1) Convenience : -
a) Is there a convenience shop within walking distance - This can give me the impulse purchase on food, water and beers. Or if last minute packing that causes to forget a few essential items like toiletries, cream or lotion.
b) Currency Exchange Counter - I usually do not keep a lot of foreign currency of the respective country for fear that if i short stay, then i will end up a lot of the currency without being used which instead I can made for a better use in another country. So, if currency exchange counter is nearby, i can change for a reasonable small amount just good enough for the duration of the stay.
c) Food stall and restaurant outlets
d) Convenient to get a transport to my destination (Airport, bus station, train station, shopping malls)
e) Within walking distance to tourist destination. - This is not a must have list, but a plus if the hotel I stays is close to the tourist spot, but be mindful that hotel close to the tourist spot can be noisy.
